History
Adrian was born on October 9, 1994 to Teagan and Wyatt Nelson. His mother owns a cupcake shop and his father is a mechanic. He grew up having a pretty normal childhood, but he'd never really had friends outside of school. He would play with a couple neighborhood kids, but none of them were really anyone he would call a friend. They were just kids he occasionally played with while outside. There were a couple of classmates he'd met in Kindergarten and first grade that he would play with at recess, but they never became real friends. In second grade though when the boy next to him ducked under his desk to hide, Adrian slipped out of his chair to join him and make him feel better. This small gesture was all it took for him to finally make a friend. That same day they began spending time at recess, sitting next to each other at lunch, whispering during class, and any other time they had the chance. They almost immediately became inseparable and it wasn't long before they were spending all kinds of time together outside of school as well. Two years later, Adrian's parents were contemplating moving the family to Philadelphia. Adrian hated the idea and as soon as his parents told him they were thinking about it, he constantly voiced his opinions on it. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that moving meant he would never see Chase again and he would lose his best friend. While out at the store, Adrian had spotted two necklaces which he had asked his parents to buy for him and Chase. The girls in class were always exchanging friendship necklaces, so while it was a bit of a girly thing to do, Adrian thought if he had to move he at least wanted something to connect the two of them. Even if they wouldn't see each other anymore. Luckily, his parents ended up coming to the decision to stay in Boston, but the two boys kept the necklaces and continued to wear them over the years as a symbol of their bond.
As the boys got older, they both gained more friends as years went on. Some friendships came and went, others stuck and they remained friends even today. However, nothing could ever compare to their friendship with each other. They weren't just friends, they were family and nothing would ever change that. It was a unique bond that he was thankful to have. Not many people stayed friends with their childhood best friend this long and he considered himself very lucky for it.
More recently, the two had even started talking about wanting to move out and get a place together. Adrian knew that would have probably included Chesley as well, but he wouldn't have minded that at all. While the two weren't necessarily close, they hung out at times when she would want to spend time with himself and Chase, and of course, he spent quite a bit of time at their house over the years so she was always around which meant he got to know her just from things he saw and overheard around the house. There had been countless times he wished he was closer to her as well, but he knew being siblings they enjoyed having some time apart too, so he always let them be in control of when she would or wouldn't hang out with them. He was sure that if they had gotten a place together though, that would have fostered their friendship becoming closer as well.
